A BX2230 would be adequate, but you'd probably be happier with a B-series. The B7510 would again be adequate, but if you want the fancy options, look at the premier B-series models. With any of these, I would be less concerned with engine power (they all have more than you would probably need) than with size, weight, and manuverability, especially if you will be mowing with it. ....

Make sure you know what you want to do and what implements you will need to accomplish it. The BX series subcompacts are nice machines, but are limited in their 3-point applications. I would agree with the previous post. I would think you would be happier with the B-Series. ....

Look at the B series...2410...2710...and 2910 HST...Pay a little more....you will be glad you did...Take good care of it and service it on a regular basis, and yours will last like my B8200 HST.....19 years and as good as new ! I am keeping it even though I have a brand new B-2910 with a 72 inch belly mower.....B8200 HST has 60 inch belly mower and cuts like a dream.....It is known as one of the best mowers for cutting alot of grass ever made by commerical cutters ! ....

Well I took my wallets advice and that of Art White, I purchaed a new BX 2230, with 60 inch MMM, front loader and a two stage snowblower, for 14500.00 last week. I think i got a pretty good deal after checking around and compairing the JD, NH, Kubota and Minhindra barands.
Thanks for the advise. Anyone have any opinions? ....

Sound to me like you went with the right size machine and got a good price on it. I think you will be very happy with the 2230. As Mark already said; "go forth and have fun!" ....

Alan, you made a good choice and you will be able to see the greeat value in your purchase when you start using the little beast! You should find some rear ballast for loader work as once you get started finding out how much you can do there will be some digging involved with the loader and it is a good idea to have some rear ballast to get the full use of the loader. ....
